Low Hill Volunteers Offer Help and Advice to Local Residents

The strength of credit union membership in Wolverhampton’s Low Hill is down to the brilliant voluntary work of long-standing members Tony Blakeway and Eileen Owen.

Founder members of the N.E.W. Friends Credit Union which recently merged with Wolverhampton City Credit Union, Tony and Eileen provide an invaluable service to local members.

They volunteer on behalf of the credit union in offices in Low Hill Community Centre, Kempthorne Avenue. Local members can pop in on Mondays from 6.15pm to 7.30pm, Wednesdays from 2.00pm to 3.00pm and on Thursdays from 10.30am to 11.30am for advice on savings, loans, discounts on electrical goods and joining the credit union.

They also meet regularly with credit union manager Matt Goulding to feedback members’ views on the service.
